What I Did This Summer - plus -!!! A FEATURE!!!!

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 2, 2009, 6:12 PM
  • Mood: Wow!
  • Drinking: yes please
Last year I was on the cast & crew of a local independent film by Corner Film Productions called 'The Disk: Code Zero'. I got involved as a stunt person, and ended up also doing some hand-to-hand combat and drove a car to hit some bad guys :P and of course I was always taking pics whenever I was on set (many of which are in my gallery here).

This summer I was brought on as Director of Photography for the new Corner Film Productions movie, a full length feature film now titled 'Casualties of the State', and with a fabulous auditioned cast of nearly 60 people (most of them experienced actors & actresses), a fantastic professional HD camera, excellent locations, a hard working dedicated crew, and my own contribution of an 11' crane, steadycams and numberous track/dolly configurations, we made an amazing movie I am very proud to have been a part of!

We have a new trailer out on youtube, check it out here: [link]

In addition to working on the movie, I was able to attend the first World Traceuse Gathering in London. HUGE thanks to Liv (Flame) for organizing it, and was fantastic to meet everyone and train in and around London. I'm very jealous of those training areas we just have nothing here in Missouri that even comes close!!! Professional photographer Jonathan Lucas came with us one of the days and took pictures while we trained:

His full gallery of pictures is at: [link]

Of course I can't do a journal without a bit of a feature.....so from the theme of my most recent uploads, hows a wee bit of Morgues & Basements?

First the Morgues:

Then the Basements:

And from my own gallery:

And I learned something.....when searching for Morgues and Basements on deviantART....beware. There is some really disturbing stuff out there!!

Cheers!
